BCBS of Massachusetts expedites access to care for members hit by Tropical Storm Henri

With Tropical Storm Henri ravaging regions of the East Coast Aug. 24, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is issuing expedited access to care for over 360,000 affected members in the area.

The initiative allows members to have early prescription refills and to use the plan’s telehealth platform, Well Connection, for free, according to an Aug. 26 announcement

The expedited access to care is in effect for 90 days. It primarily applies to members who live in areas that declared or anticipated declaring states of emergency, including New York and Rhode Island and parts of New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Vermont.
