The highest number of donors in recent years gave to the United Way of Greater Topeka — a nonprofit that focuses on education, financial stability and health — this year, according to Jenalea Randall, community relations specialist at BCBS of Kansas. Over 740 employees raised a total of $234,262.58, which represents contributions from employees, retirees and the BCBS of Kansas Foundation.

To achieve these results, Ms. Randall said BCBS of Kansas increased the number of informational meetings about United Way and restructured the way in which the meetings were held.
