The program will be an extension of members’ fertility and maternity benefits and will include 24/7 care navigation support, education and virtual clinics with obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation consultants, pediatric sleep coaches and psychologists, according to an Aug. 10 news release.
The three programs on the platform will consist of family building, maternity, and parenting and pediatrics. Family building will include resources for fertility treatment, preconception care, egg freezing, and adoption and surrogacy. Maternity will be a yearlong program with prenatal and postpartum resources, NICU support, high-risk pregnancy management and partner tracking. Parenting and pediatrics will provide parents with children aged 1 to 10 years with resources for pediatric care, parental coaching, special needs support and child care navigation.
A reimbursement tool, Maven Wallet, will be available for the family building program so self-funded employers can reimburse employees for adoption and surrogacy costs.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 17–19 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
