According to the proposed class-action lawsuit, filed March 28 by Christopher Lures, he was employed by Anthem as a referral specialist between October 2019 and June 2021. Mr. Lures worked from his home during that span.
He alleges that he was required to interrupt, shorten or miss rest and meal breaks. Mr. Lures was not compensated for the extra time worked, according to the lawsuit.
The plaintiff also alleges Anthem reimbursed only $60 per month for internet and did not reimburse him for other expenses incurred while working from home, such as telephone service, office furniture, utilities and stationery.
