Anthem reaches deal with St. Vincent to add 4 microhospitals to network

St. Louis-based Ascension subsidiary St. Vincent, located in Indianapolis, now has an in-network arrangement with Anthem for its microhospitals, according to WFYI Indianapolis.

The “neighborhood” hospitals offer patients inpatient and emergency care services. Altogether, St. Vincent opened four microhospitals during the past year, but they lacked in-network status with Indiana’s largest insurer.

To date, the neighborhood hospitals have served 8,000-plus patients.
