In October 2022, Valley Health filed a lawsuit alleging Anthem Health Plans of Virginia owed $11.4 million in past due reimbursements.
According to an April 19 news release shared with Becker’s, the settlement allows the Winchester, Va.-based health system and Anthem to begin negotiations to extend their current contract.
Valley Health operates six hospitals and more than 50 clinics in Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland.
