Amerigroup, Renaissance Physicians ink risk-based contract

Renaissance Physicians Organization has entered into a risk-based contract with Virginia Beach, Va.-based Amerigroup that covers individuals with an Amerigroup Medicare Advantage plan in the Huston area.

Effective Aug. 1, the collaboration will increase access to a network of clinicians for individuals with the Amerivantage Select and Amerivantage Dual Coordination health plans, which are for patients who qualify for Medicare or Medicare and Medicaid.

“Amerigroup and RPO share the same goal of delivering high-quality affordable health care to the members we are privileged to serve,” Josh Martin, president of Amerigroup Medicare west region, said. “By continuing to add specialists and groups with excellent reputations for quality, our goal is to help our members manage their care, improve their health outcomes, and lower their costs.”
