Anthem Blue Cross’ commercial and ACA health plans in California have been awarded Health Equity Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance through July 28, 2028.
Anthem’s Medi-Cal plan previously earned the NCQA’s Health Equity and Health Equity Plus accreditations in 2022 and 2023, meaning all of the insurer’s California health plans now hold the designation, according to an Aug. 13 news release.
NCQA’s Health Equity Accreditation program evaluates how organizations collect and use data, provide language services, improve provider network accessibility, and identify opportunities to reduce disparities in care.
