According to an Oct. 17 news release, the plans will be available to 1.6 million Medicare-eligible adults in some counties in Texas, California, Arizona and Florida.
The co-branded plans will have no premiums, and members can use their over-the-counter benefits at Walgreens or a mail-order service and will have access to 10,000 drugs without copays at Walgreens or other pharmacies in Alignment Healthcare’s network.
The Medicare Advantage insurer announced a co-branded partnership with grocery delivery service Instacart earlier this month.
Alignment Healthcare, founded in 2013, has around 112,000 members across six states.
