Matt Eyles, president and CEO of America's Health Insurance Plans, emphasized four tenants health plans should prioritize in 2022 at the advocacy group's 2022 State of the Industry event.
The four focuses include:
- Increasing affordable healthcare and coverage for both physical and mental wellbeing.
- Improving health equity.
- Transition into a post-COVID-19 healthcare landscape.
- Continuing to support a competitive free market.
"America's health insurance providers are champions of care in 2022 and beyond, and our focus is squarely on the health and well-being of Americans," Mr. Eyles said at the event. "Everything we do is in service to guiding greater health. And we won't shrink from the challenges that may face us — the stakes are too high."
