The annual “healthy home visit” will include a comprehensive health risk assessment and noninvasive physical exam in the member’s home, as well as an evaluation of the home environment to identify any health risks or social support needs.
“Our experience shows Medicare consumers want more than just a one-size-fits-all approach to healthcare,” Aetna Medicare President Terri Swanson said in an Oct. 1 news release.
Aetna parent company CVS Health bought Signify Health in March for $8 billion to build on its value-based care strategy. The home health company employs more than 10,000 clinicians across 50 states. Consulting firm McKinsey & Co. estimates that $265 billion, or upward of a quarter of Medicare spending, will move to the home by 2025.
The payer also said its Medicare Advantage plans will be in network for all Oak Street Health clinics. CVS acquired Oak Street Health, which has more than 100 senior-focused primary care clinics, in May for $10.6 billion.
