Aetna-Humana merger hearing postponed in Georgia

Georgia officials delayed a hearing regarding the $37 billion merger deal between Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna and Louisville, Ky.-based Humana.

The decision was made in light of the U.S. Department of Justice’s decision to file a lawsuit against the transaction. Prior to the announcement, the Aetna-Humana deal had gained approval in 17 out of 20 required states.
