CommunityCare and direct primary care technology company Mending are partnering to embed DPC providers into Oklahoma ACA plans beginning in 2027.
Mending, which is winding down its own ACA plans in Maine and Oklahoma, will shift to powering DPC access through other carriers rather than offering coverage itself, according to a June 22 news release. CommunityCare will include in-network DPC providers in its ACA plan options using Mending’s platform.
Current Mending members with an existing DPC plan will receive guidance on transitioning to CommunityCare plans during open enrollment.
CommunityCare is jointly owned by Saint Francis Health System and Ascension St. John, both based in Tulsa.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
