Elevance Health Foundation will donate $1 million each to the Florida Disaster Fund and the American Red Cross and a total of $700,000 to several other local disaster relief organizations.
The United Health Fund, UnitedHealth Group’s philanthropic organization, will donate $1 million to the Florida Disaster Fund.
The Humana Fund will donate $1 million to disaster relief, with funds distributed to the Florida Disaster Fund and local organizations in counties hardest-hit by the storm.
The MolinaCares Accord, Molina Healthcare’s charity arm, will provide $300,000 in funding to the Florida Disaster Fund, Farm Share, Harry Chapin Food Bank and Latino Leadership.
Florida first lady Casey DeSantis said FloridaBlue and Centene are among the first backers of the state’s disaster relief fund on Sept. 30. Each pledged $1 million to the relief efforts.
Medicaid managed care organization Simply Healthcare pledged $350,000, according to Ms. DeSantis’ announcement, and CVS pledged $100,000.
