The best-rated Medicaid plans of 2023, per NCQA

Thirteen Medicaid plans in seven states received 4.5 star ratings from the National Committee for Quality Assurance. 

The committee published its 2023 health plan ratings Sept. 15. Plans are rated on a one to five star scale based on quality of care, member satisfaction and plans' efforts to improve. 

No Medicaid plans received a five star rating. Here are the plans that received 4.5 and 4-star ratings from the committee:
