- Alaska — $7,886
- Rhode Island — $6,665
- New Hampshire — $6,637
- Massachusetts — $6,621
- New York — $6,614
Here are five states with the lowest average annual premiums in 2016.
- Arkansas — $5,341
- Nevada — $5,490
- Alabama — $5,536
- Tennessee — $5,543
- Idaho — $5,594
