1. Delaware’s chancellor declined to dismiss a lawsuit that seeks the release of $51 million from a post-merger escrow amid allegations that an Anthem subsidiary wrongfully held the funds. 

2. Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Cottage Health sued Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, alleging the insurer routinely underpaid claims. 

3. Aetna is being sued by Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Vanguard Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery for an alleged “unreasonably low” reimbursement rate for services. 

4. Oregon agreed to pay $22.5 million March 26 to settle a yearslong legal dispute with FamilyCare, a company that provided care to Medicaid patients in the state.

5. A former Anthem employee is suing the company for allegedly violating California’s labor laws.
