1. An Oklahoma bill reforming the prior authorization process has been signed into law and goes into effect Jan. 1.
2. Kodiak Solutions said an increase in initial denials on inpatient claims by payers for prior authorization rose from 1.73% of the value of inpatient claims in 2021 to 2.18% in 2023, a 26% increase.
3. Vermont Gov. Phil Scott has signed a bill to reform the prior authorization process in the state.
