4 states where ACA premiums will decrease in 2024

ACA premiums are likely to rise in 2024, with most insurers proposing rate increases of between 2 and 10 percent, according to data from the KFF-Petersen Health System tracker.

Four states are bucking the trend, with payers in the states proposing average decreases for individual premium prices. 

Here are the states where the average premium cost will decrease: 

Arizona
Average percent decrease: -0.46 

Idaho
Average percent decrease: -1.10

Iowa
Average percent decrease: -1.25

Alabama
Average percent decrease: -3.67 

In another four states, — Delaware, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Wyoming — payers proposed an average premium increase of less than 1 percent.
