4 payers entering Medicare Advantage in 2024

Four new insurers will enter the Medicare Advantage market in 2024, according to an analysis from KFF published Nov. 8.

The number of Medicare Advantage plans in 2024 declined slightly from 2023, to 3,959. The average number of plans available to beneficiaries is the same in 2024, at 43. 

Fourteen payers are exiting the market in 2024.
