2 health systems, investor complete acquisition of Evergreen Health plan

The Maryland Insurance Administration approved three investors’ acquisition of Baltimore-based Evergreen Health Wednesday.

The approval is the final step in the nonprofit health insurer’s transition into a for-profit entity. Acquiring investors include Annapolis, Md.-based Anne Arundel Health System, Baltimore-based LifeBridge Health and JARS Health Investments.

The health plan has 24,000 members.
