According to a news release, the companies held a grand opening for the center Sept. 8. The 9,000-square-foot facility features a full-size kitchen, activity rooms and office space.
The center offers a variety of classes on topics like yoga therapy, kickboxing and cooking. The resource space will also host a monthly food pantry.
“The new Community Resource Center in Inglewood is just the latest example of how Blue Shield Promise is providing deep investments in communities to provide its residents traditional health and wellness offerings as well as personalized services to our members including on-site connection to social services,” Kristen Cerf, president and CEO of Blue Shield Promise Health Plan, said in the release.
