13 Iowa counties house single ACA exchange insurer

The Iowa Insurance Division said 13 rural counties will house one insurer offering individual health plans on the state’s Affordable Care Act exchange next year.

Minnetonka, Minn.-based Medica is the only insurer offering on exchange individual plans in Adams, Buena Vista, Iowa, Jefferson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Mahaska, Page, Pocahontas, Taylor, Van Buren and Wapello counties.

Requested premium rates for individual ACA plans will be finalized Nov. 1.
