From co-owned health plans between insurers and providers to major investments in telehealth, these are 12 payer partnerships reported by Becker's since Sept. 27:

Aetna said Oct. 12 it is partnering with mental telehealth provider Cyti Psychological to offer in-network services to members in California and Oregon.

UPMC Health Plan
and value-based kidney care provider InterWell Health said Oct. 12 they are partnering on care coordination for members with kidney disease.

Point32Health
, the parent company of Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, said Oct. 12 it is partnering with Monogram Health, a value-based provider of in-home kidney care, to increase early care access for commercial members.

Humana said Oct. 12 it is launching a co-branded Medicare Advantage plan with military benefits provider USAA that is designed for veterans. The plan will be available in eight states for 2023.

BCBS Massachusetts
said Oct. 12 it partnered with artificial intelligence company Olive for a prior authorization pilot at Boston-based New England Baptist Hospital that significantly reduced approval times.

BCBS North Dakota
said Oct. 11 it is partnering with Grand Forks-based Altru Health System on a four-tiered health plan that will be available for individuals, families and employers in 11 counties.

Optum Labs
, the research and development arm of UnitedHealth Group, said Oct. 10 it is partnering with researchers in UCLA's computational medicine department for five years to study how artificial intelligence and machine learning can be used to personalize treatments and improve care costs and quality.

BCBS North Carolina said Oct. 5 it is working with nonprofit Green & Healthy Homes Initiative to help minimize the risk of in-home falls through home modifications for members.

Aetna Better Health of Florida and Emcara Health said Oct. 5 they are partnering to provide value-based primary care to 240,000 Aetna Medicaid members across the state, starting in the Tampa, Orlando and Miami regions.

Priority Health
and Kroger Health said Oct. 4 they are launching two co-branded Medicare plans in eight Michigan counties for 2023.

Kaiser Permanente and mental healthcare provider Ginger said Oct. 4 they are partnering to offer emotional telehealth support services to members.

Independence Blue Cross and Penn Medicine in Philadelphia said Sept. 27 they are partnering on a value-based primary care model centered around co-ownership of Blue Cross' physician network subsidiary, Tandigm.
