10 numbers behind Friday Health Plans tripling its ACA enrollment

Denver-based Friday Health Plans grew enrollment in its ACA plans by over 300 percent year over year during the previous open enrollment period, the payer announced Feb. 23.

10 numbers behind its growth:

  • During the last open enrollment period, the payer signed up more than 300,000 members across its ACA plans. 
  • Leading up to the open enrollment period, Friday Health Plans expanded to 185 counties across seven states. 
  • The payer only expanded outside of its home state of Colorado in 2021. It experienced the most traction in three states — Texas, Nevada and Colorado — where it claimed upwards of 20 percent, 17 percent and 9 percent of ACA-eligible enrollees respectively.
  • Friday Health Plans offers plans with an unlimited number of $0 primary care visits, $0 mental health counseling, $75 urgent care visits and low or no-cost generic drugs.
