The top 10 Medicaid-focused startups have raised $1.5 billion combined in venture funding, according to a Feb. 27 report published in Health Affairs, citing PitchBook.
Medicaid has noticeably less outside investment compared to Medicare Advantage ($20 billion) because the program is different in each state and caring for beneficiaries can be more challenging. In 2021, CMS spent more $734 billion on Medicaid.
