Humana has acquired a minority stake in Healthpilot, an AI-powered Medicare enrollment platform.
Healthpilot, founded in 2020, is an online Medicare Advantage broker platform. The company uses an AI-powered platform to recommend beneficiaries the best plans based on their health needs, choices for physicians, drug utilization and cost preferences, according to a July 17 news release.
The platform will remain payer-agnostic after Humana's investment, according to the release. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Other Medicare Advantage insurers have invested in online platforms to help beneficiaries enroll in their plans. In April, CVS Health acquired Hella Health, a Medicare Advantage broker platform.
