Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey is entering the third-party administrator market through HealthEZ, a Minnesota-based TPA the insurer purchased last year.

Horizon said it will make new solutions available to businesses with 50 to 2,000 employees this summer for Jan. 1 effective dates.

Under the arrangement, HealthEZ will serve as the only TPA in New Jersey with access to Horizon’s provider network and stop-loss, dental, and vision products, the insurer shared with Becker’s. Employers using HealthEZ will also have access to the BCBS national network, which includes more than 2 million providers.

Horizon has expanded its employer-facing portfolio in recent years, including an ICHRA product launched in 2025.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
