Luminare, a third-party administrator for self-funded employers, was purchased by HCSC in October 2022.
HCSC, the parent company of BCBS Illinois, Texas, Montana, New Mexico and Oklahoma, said the purchase would allow the company to serve more members that desire more customized health benefits. Luminare employs more than 1,100 people and will be relocating to Rosemont, Ill. from Lake Forest in the second quarter of 2024.
