Health Care Service Corp. has completed the rebranding of its Medicare supplement and supplemental health and life products under the HealthSpring name.
The move finishes a transition that began last year, when HCSC shifted the Medicare Advantage and Part D business it acquired from Cigna for $3.3 billion to the HealthSpring brand.
HealthSpring has more than 3 million members. HCSC said it is the second-largest Medicare supplement carrier by policyholders, with plans available in 48 states and Washington, D.C. Its supplemental health and life products, which include hospital indemnity and dental, vision and hearing benefits, are offered in 49 markets and D.C.
