Elevance sells Florida medical centers

Elevance Health sold Miami-based Pasteur Medical Centers and Wellmax Medical Centers to Las Mercedes Medical Centers, which is also headquartered in Miami.

Pasteur operates 11 medical clinics across South Florida while Wellmax has nine facilities, according to their websites. 

With this acquisition, Las Mercedes Medical Centers now serves more than 22,000 elderly members across 26 facilities in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, the organization said in an Oct. 7 news release. More than 700 employees from Pasteur and Wellmax have also joined Las Mercedes. 

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
