CareSource has closed on its acquisition of Radiant Alliance, a nonprofit senior care organization composed of Metta Healthcare (parent company of Ohio's Hospice and Pure Healthcare), United Church Homes and Genacross Lutheran Services.
CareSource has more than 2.3 million members across Medicaid, ACA and Medicare Advantage plans.
Metta Healthcare employs more than 1,400 people in 59 counties throughout Ohio and provides long term care for those with chronic illness or in need of end-of-life care. United Church Homes is a nonprofit senior living organization that serves more than 7,000 residents in 90 affordable housing communities across 15 states and two Native American nations. Genacross is a social ministry that offers a spectrum of senior care services.
"This alliance with independent, nonprofit providers means CareSource now has better access to more integrated health care for complex populations," Josh Boynton, senior vice president of complex health solutions at CareSource, said Nov. 26. "Our ability to drive efficiencies, increase transparency and create advanced payment models will benefit those we collectively serve and create cost savings for government-sponsored health care programs."
