BCBS Michigan quietly selling Advantasure subsidiary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is quietly selling its healthcare technology subsidiary Advantasure for an undisclosed amount to health plan administrator UST HealthProof.

The sale was announced in a Sept. 19 news release from UST that does not name BCBS. 

The sale is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. Advantasure will keep its offices in Virginia and Michigan.

“Bringing Advantasure into the UST HealthProof family allows us to combine our innovative and consumer-centric platform with Advantasure’s proven solutions expanding our capabilities into the important risk and quality arena,” UST HealthProof CEO Kevin Adams, said.
