From the first quarters of 2025 to 2026, Clover Health went from a $1.3 million loss to a $27 million profit, according to a May 6 earnings release.
The company said it is expecting to have its first profitable year under generally accepted accounting principles. The company had its first-ever profitable quarter in 2024. Total revenue this quarter was $749 million, up 62% year over year.
Insurance revenue grew 62.9% year over year to $744.2 million. Medicare Advantage membership reached 155,773, more than a 50% increase year over year.
Clover’s version of a medical loss ratio was 86.5% for the quarter versus 86.1% during the same period in 2025.
