Pittsburgh-based UPMC Health Plan’s Medicare products president, Angela Perri, is resigning, effective September.

Ms. Perri shared the update Aug. 7 on LinkedIn. She will no longer teach at the University of Pittsburgh, as well. She will pursue another opportunity with New York City-based VNS Health.

During her time at UPMC, Ms. Perri emphasized her service-oriented team, as well as her strategy for effectively engaging with the Medicare population, in conversations with Becker’s. Under her leadership, UPMC has also secured J.D. Power recognition.

“The work we have done together — for our members, our communities and this organization — is work I will carry with me always,” she said.

Prior to her work at UPMC, Ms. Perri held leadership positions at UnitedHealth Group, Centene and Amerigroup, according to her LinkedIn profile.

At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
