UnitedHealthcare names chief medical officer for Medicaid division 

UnitedHealthcare has named Toyosi Okurounmu, MD, as national chief medical officer and vice president of medical leadership and clinical performance for its community and state division, which provides managed Medicaid services across 30 states.

Dr. Okurounmu started at UnitedHealthcare in 2020 as CMO of the company’s Georgia and Alabama market, and most recently served as regional CMO in the community and state division’s east market, according to her LinkedIn.

Before United, she served in clinical leadership roles at Humana.
