Sidecar Health selected Sharath Pasupunuti to serve as chief technology officer, according to a Feb. 3 news release.
Mr. Pasupunuti will lead engineering, AI strategy, data and platform development in the role, scaling and updating Sidecar systems that automate claims, present upfront costs and promote accurate pricing and provider information. He will also support growth with large employers.
“The insurance system wasn’t built around consumers, and the technology shows it,” Mr. Pasupunuti said.
Mr. Pasupunuti brings two decades of experience in large, AI-enabled platforms. He most recently held the senior vice president of engineering position at Hinge Health, where he worked on its digital musculoskeletal care platform. He was also vice president of engineering at GE Healthcare. He spearheaded the Edison AI platform and ran global teams focused on AI solutions.
