Sentara Health Plans names new president

Sentara Health Plans, the insurance division of Norfolk, Va.-based Sentara Healthcare, has named Colin Drozdowski president, effective Sept. 1.

Mr. Drozdowski will also serve as an executive vice president at Sentara Healthcare. He has been a senior vice president with SHP since 2019 and most recently served as senior vice president of comprehensive health solutions, according to an Aug. 17 news release.

He will succeed current President and CEO Dennis Matheis, who is transitioning to his new role as president and CEO of Sentara Healthcare.

Before Sentara, Mr. Drozdowski served as senior vice president of provider solutions at Anthem.
