Ms. Cook was previously chief operations officer for Alternate Solutions Health Network and chief clinical operations officer for CareMore and Aspire Health, which are Elevance Health subsidiaries, according to a Dec. 12 news release.
Welcome Health launched in 2021 and serves patients in Los Angeles and Orange Counties through virtual and in-home care. It is payer-agnostic and currently has contracts with SCAN Health Plan and UnitedHealthcare.
In a deal announced Dec. 14, SCAN Group will be renamed HealthRight Group in 2023 after it combines with Medicaid managed care company CareOregon.
