Retired Optum executive to lead tech-based health company advisory board

Retired Optum executive Tim Wicks was named chairman of the newly formed advisory board for Mobe, a tech-based healthcare company that uses data to better treat its customers and lower health system costs.

Mr. Wicks served in a variety of leadership roles at Optum, including CFO of Optum and president and CEO of OptumRx, according to an April 4 Mobe news release. He retired from Optum in 2021. 

Also named to the board was Dev Warren, CEO and co-founder of Ascendant Advisory Group, according to the release. Together, they will aim to provide the company strategic growth guidance, payer and plan sponsor perspectives and clinical industry trends analysis. 

Another former Optum executive, Mike Ott, was named Mobe’s CEO in August.
