Presbyterian Health Plan President Heather Thiltgen has joined the Weight Watchers board of directors, effective April 20.
Presbyterian Health Plan is the insurance arm of Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Ms. Thiltgen took over as president in August following her tenure as CEO of Boston Medical Center’s WellSense Health Plan.
Weight Watchers said in an April 20 news release Ms. Thiltgen’s experience with GLP-1 coverage, the regulatory landscape, payer-provider dynamics, membership growth and driving health outcomes will serve her well as the weight management company expands.
The Weight Watchers board now has six members. Ms. Thiltgen will act as director until the 2026 shareholder annual meeting, where she is slated to stand for election. She serves on the board’s compensation and benefits committee.
At the Becker's 5th Annual Fall Payer Issues Roundtable, taking place November 2–3 in Chicago, payer executives and healthcare leaders will come together to discuss value-based care, regulatory changes, cost management strategies and innovations shaping the future of payer-provider collaboration.
