Mr. Provencher has been with the company for 28 years and served as CEO for 21 years, according to a June 24 news release.
He oversaw the company’s expansion throughout Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Washington and the merger between PacificSource and Portland, Ore.-based Legacy Health. He also led the company’s largest Medicaid membership expansion in 2020, which added more than 200,000 members and brought total membership to over 600,000 individuals.
“I have been very fortunate and blessed to have worked with all of my PacificSource colleagues and our board during my tenure here,” Mr. Provencher said. “I am extremely proud of how we have approached our work and that we have done so as an independent, not-for-profit community health plan.”
