New York insurer names new president

Univera has named Paul Valley as its next president, The Buffalo News reported May 15. 

Art Wingerter, the insurer’s current president, plans to retire in July. 

Mr. Valley is Univera’s vice president of sales and joined the company in 2022, according to the Buffalo News.

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Univera has around 1.5 million members. It is part of the Lifetime Healthcare Cos., which also operates Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield.
