Mr. Snyder has served in the role since 2018 and is one of the five longest-serving Medicaid directors in the U.S., according to an Oct. 9 news release from Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves’ office. The release did not specify Mr. Snyder’s next role.
Mr. Reeves has tapped Cindy Bradshaw to succeed Mr. Snyder, according to the release. She has served as Mississippi Medicaid’s deputy executive director for eligibility since April 2023. She previously served as state insurance administrator and has nearly two decades of experience in health plan operations for private insurers.
“With deep experience in health plan operations in the public and private sectors, Cindy Bradshaw is well-prepared to lead Mississippi’s Medicaid program,” Mr. Reeves said in the release. “She has a proven record of elevating operational performance and advancing initiatives aimed at improving outcomes and protecting taxpayers. She is an excellent choice to ensure continuity and continued progress in the Medicaid program.”
