Michigan system names health plan president

Detroit-based Henry Ford Health has named Margaret Anderson, interim president of Health Alliance Plan, as the health plan’s permanent president.

HAP grew under Ms. Anderson’s leadership in 2024, now serving 476,000 members across Michigan and closing the year with a net income of $32.4 million and operating income of $6.7 million, according to a May 20 news release.

She first joined HAP in 2018 as senior vice president, chief sales and marketing officer. Before that she held leadership roles at Blue Shield of California, WellCare Health Plans and HealthNow New York.
