Intermountain’s SelectHealth names Colorado market president

SelectHealth, the nonprofit insurance arm of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health, has named Curt Howell as president of its Colorado market.

Mr. Howell will lead SelectHealth’s expansion into the Colorado insurance market later this year, which is part of a new partnership with Intermountain and Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth, according to a March 30 news release shared with Becker’s.

The combined venture plans to offer Medicare Advantage and ACA exchange plans in Colorado, pending regulatory approval. 

Mr. Howell will also be responsible for regulatory, legislative, and business initiatives and opportunities; community outreach; and working with network providers. Previously, he served as a multi-state market president at Bright Healthcare.

SelectHealth currently has more than 1 million members in Utah, Idaho and Nevada.
