Ms. O’Hara was most recently chief human resources officer at Science Applications International Corp., an IT services company, according to a Nov. 12 news release.
Her appointment is effective Jan. 1. Tim Huval, Humana’s current chief human resources officer, plans to retire at the end of 2024.
Humana has more than 63,000 employees.
