Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware has named Timothy Vessel president.
Mr. Vessel joins Highmark Delaware after more than 30 years at Cigna, according to his LinkedIn page. He most recently served as general manager of Cigna’s South Texas and Louisiana markets.
“He is the ideal leader to guide Highmark Delaware through a rapidly changing healthcare landscape and oversee our BluePrints grant program, which has provided more than $28 million to support health care access, economic stability and health workforce development for the Delaware community,” said Tom Fitzpatrick, senior vice president and Commercial Business Segment president for Highmark.
