Pittsburgh-based Highmark Health has named Carl Daley as chief financial officer.
Mr. Daley was most recently senior vice president of Medicare strategy and operations at Humana, according to an Aug. 28 news release. He spent nearly 12 years at Humana, holding various leadership positions, including insurance CFO from 2017 to 2020.
Highmark Health owns Allegheny Health Network and Highmark Inc., or Highmark Health Plan, which operates the BCBS affiliates in Delaware, West Virginia and parts of Pennsylvania and New York.
"Carl is a proven financial leader within the healthcare insurance industry, who brings operational experience leading a diversified healthcare services business, which is a tremendous fit for Highmark Health as we continue to implement our Living Health model," Highmark Health CEO David Holmberg said.
Mr. Daley will take over the CFO role Sept. 25. Janine Colinear, who has served as Highmark Health's interim CFO since January, will return to her role as senior vice president overseeing finance, according to the news release. Ja'Ron Bridges will become CFO of Highmark Health Plan.
