HealthPartners names chief health plan officer

Bloomington, Minn.-based HealthPartners has named Jennifer Danielson as executive vice president and chief health plan officer, where she will lead the organization’s insurance division.

Most recently, Ms. Danielson was the chief growth officer at self-funded benefits company, Collective Health. She also previously served as president of Regence BlueCross Blue Shield of Utah and was senior vice president of public affairs and policy at parent company, Cambia Health Solutions, according to a June 21 news release.

The eight-hospital health system offers medical and dental insurance to 1.8 million members across six states, including individual, employer-sponsored, Medicaid and Medicare Advantage plans.
